Visionary Artist, Surrealist Painter

Arcelía is a Boulder-based surreal artist whose captivating style blends her Mexican indigenous roots with her love for horses. Drawing inspiration from her cultural heritage, she creates stunning artworks that merge surrealism with traditional Mexican motifs. Vivid colors, intricate patterns, and rich symbolism characterize her pieces, inviting viewers on a journey that challenges conventional norms and expands the boundaries of artistic expression. Each artwork narrates a story, encouraging imagination and introspection while reflecting her deep connection to her Indigenous background.

Arcelía transports audiences to a dreamlike realm through her exquisite craftsmanship, where horses and indigenous symbols coexist harmoniously. Her vibrant paintings and meticulously crafted sculptures evoke wonder and curiosity, leaving a lasting impression on those who experience them. Graduating from RMCAD with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 3D Animation and currently pursuing a Master in Fine Arts in Painting. Her work has been exhibited throughout Colorado and can be found among collections in the Denver Metro area. When she's not creating, Arcelía enjoys the company of her beloved cat and three rabbits, sharing her home with her little patch of inspiration.
